Four targets
Following four targets of Deafzone have been determined by the Deafzone Webclan:
- Represent the deaf and sign language culture with public work and facts as well as eliminating prejudices against deaf and hard of hearing people.
- Demand the equalization of deaf people, particulary the acknowledgment of the sign language.
- Promote the identity identification and opinion forming for deaf and hard of hearing people.
- Revolutionize with new communicating ways the exchange of information and opinions among different groups.
The Internet communication platform Deafzone is the strategy of the Webclan to achieve these targets. Here we quote again the targets in sentences of the founder:
The platform deafzone.ch retains the Underground character in the positive sense, is the critical voice in the deaf society and offers much interactivity, so that everyone can take part in the exchange of information and opinions. All these characteristics are conditions for a common basis in the fight against the unfairness, with which handicaped people are confronted every day.
